Bremont Watch Company Limited is an aviation-themed British luxury watchmaker based in England, and was founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English.
Tragedy to Triumph
Nick and their father, Euan English, crashed a vintage World War II aircraft during a training flight in 1995 and the elder English was killed in the accident. The brothers responded to the family tragedy by buying North Weald Flying Services, a historical aircraft restoration business, which eventually led to creating Bremont. 2007 saw the first release of a Bremont timepiece. The company was named after Antoine Bremont, a French farmer and former World War II pilot who took the brothers in after an emergency landing.
Partnership with Williams
After a long partnership with Oris and a couple of seasons without a watch sponsor, Williams Racing signed Bremont as their official timing partner from 2021 to 2023. The British watchmaker released their first Williams collaboration in 2022, the Bremont WR-22 chronograph which came on a steel bracelet or alcantara strap. Also released in the same year was the Bremont Williams Racing Box Set which featured the FW44 Chrono and FW44 Classic. Guided tours of Williams Racing HQ and the Williams Racing museum, as well as a visit to the Grand Prix technical team facilities were also included with the set. 2023 saw the release of the nearly-monochromatic Bremont WR-45 inspired by the Williams FW-45.
