Braun

Braun GmbH was founded in 1921 by mechanical engineer Max Braun and in Frankfurt. Braun’s early focus was on radio components, which gradually evolved into completely radio sets. Braun eventually expanded into a variety of consumer household appliances, cameras, student learning kits, and watches. The company was owned by Gillette from 1984 until 2007, and is currently a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble. Braun watches have since been produced by other companies under license.

Tyrrell Honda

Braun was the title sponsor of the Tyrrell Honda Formula 1 team in 1991, and the Braun AW20 Tyrrell Honda edition was produced to commemorate the partnership. The timepiece features the German company’s Bauhaus style, with “Tyrrell Honda” printed on the dial of an otherwise standard AW20 model.
