Bulova

The J. Bulova Company was founded in 1875 by Joseph Bulova as a small jewelry shop in New York City. Bulova began making watches in 1912, and after reincorporating as Bulova Watch Company in 1923 had full lines of watches for both men and women by the following year.

Bulova is perhaps best known for their Accutron watches first launched in 1960, as well as a certain prototype chronograph that belonged to astronaut David Scott. As a backup to his government-issued Omega Speedmaster, the famous Bulova timepiece became the only privately owned watch to be worn on the moon and later became the basis of the Lunar Pilot. Today, Bulova is owned by Citizen Watch Co.

Benetton F1

During the 1989 Formula One season, Bulova branding made an appearance on the Benetton B189 via their partnership with United Colors of Benetton. Bulova was producing private label watches for the Italian fashion brand at the time, which included Benetton Formula 1 Racing Team edition timepieces.
