Wyler Vetta

Wyler was founded in 1896 by brothers Paul and Alfred Wyler in Bienne, Switzerland. Meanwhile in Varese, Italy, Innocent Binda opened a watch repair shop in 1906 and relocated to Milan in 1926. Binda began importing and marketing Wyler watches in Italy under the Wyler Veteta brand in 1930, with some early timepieces using only the Vetta name. Innocente Binda would also later become the founder of Breil.

Custom Ferrari Timepieces

The Vetta brand first established ties with Grand Prix racing in the 1950s when Ferrari-branded watches were commissioned by founder Enzo Ferrari. Ordered in small batches from Bolognese jeweler Gerardo Veronesi, these custom branded watches were given to close friends, drivers, and loyale colleagues as gifts. Early versions of these watches were made with Vetta timepieces, as well as Longines, Super Royal, and Zenith.
