Daniel Pedrosa Ramal (born September 29, 1985) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer with 31 MotoGP wins and 112 podiums. Known by fans as Dani Pedrosa, the popular Spanish racer also has three world titles in the 125cc category, and two in 250cc.
MotoGP Career
Pedrosa started his MotoGP career in 2006 with Repsol Honda, and remained with the Japanese manufacturer until his retirement from full time competition in 2018 before signing with the KTM Factory Racing as a test rider. He made further appearances on the MotoGP grid as a wildcard entry for KTM, and continued to score additional championship points in the premier class.
MotoGP Hall of Fame
Pedrosa was inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2018 just prior to his final Grand Prix as a full time racer, having achieved the third most podiums of all time behind only Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini.
Formula 1 Test
Pedrosa has also tested the Red Bull Racing RB8 Formula One car in 2018 with the guidance of former F1 driver Mark Webber. His then-teammate Marc Marquez also participated in the test.
Cvstos
Pedrosa entered a parternship with Swiss watch manufacturer Cvstos in 2013, which introduced the Challenge Dani Pedrosa Limited Edition which was available in an orange or grey version. The second timepiece released was the Challenge Chrono II Pedrosa Carbon, which featured Pedrosa’s “Little Samurai” logo. Both models featured brake disc-inspired subdial designs.
