Felipe Massa (born April 25, 1981) is a Brazilian racing driver who competed in Formula One from 2002 to 2017. Over the course of his Grand Prix career, Massa has scored 11 wins and 41 podiums.
F1 Career
His Formula One debut was with Sauber, and at the end of the season was left without a race seat for 2003 which he spent as a test driver for Scuderia Ferrari. After a two-year return to Sauber, the Brazilian was signed by Scuderia Ferrari for 2006 and scored his first F1 podiums and wins that year and finishing third in the standings behind champion Fernando Alonso and Ferrari teammate Michael Schumacher. 2008 saw Massa falling one point short of the world title in a season tainted by the infamous “Crashgate” scandal at the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix and was sidelined for the second half of 2009 after a serious head injury by a wayward suspension spring from Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello‘s BGP 001. After four further seasons with Scuderia Ferrari, Massa finished his Formula One career with Williams from 2014 until 2017, taking a further five podiums with the legendary British team.
Richard Mille
Massa has had a long-standing relationship with Richard Mille, having been with the Swiss brand since 2005. The Brazilian driver made a splash in watch history by wearing an RM 006 Tourbillon Felipe Massa for an entire Formula One season. The partnership has yielded multiple special edition timepieces built on the RM011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph platform.
